First elected to the New York State Senate in 2004, Jeff built a reputation as a committed, effective and trusted public servant, who has championed and passed landmark legislation for the health, welfare and economic prosperity of residents of the 34th District and all New Yorkers. Most recently, he led the Independent Democratic Conference and was President of the NY State Senate.  He was elected to the Assembly in 1994, where he served for a decade before his election to the Senate.
